2. Keep the recording local
The recording is prepared on your Mac. It does not need to be uploaded to a transcription service.
3. Get the transcript
Synthezia transcribes the meeting on your Mac and stores the result with your local meeting library.
What “local” means
Your recording stays on your Mac for transcription.
Local transcription does not require an external transcription API. The audio is processed on your Mac and the transcript is written back to Synthezia's local storage.
Initial setup may require Internet access to download the transcription model. Once the required models are installed, Local Mode can work offline.
Current limits: automatic speaker diarization and speaker relabeling are not available today, and plain-text transcript export is not currently a public feature.
